Homework, Examinations and Quizzes

Homework

Unless you are directed by the instructor to send homework directly to him/her or their TA, all homework and projects should be submitted through the UNITE office. Please make sure the following information is on the cover sheet:

  • Full Name
  • Course Number
  • Company (if applicable)
  • Assignment Number

You may download the UNITE Homework coversheet (.pdf, 56k) to use.

There are several ways homework can be submitted:

Email - unite@umn.edu.  Submit homework as attachments in Word and PDF format. We are a Macintosh-based office and are able work with most versions of Word documents and PDFs - should we encounter a corrupt or unreadable homework file, we will contact you to find a quick solution.

Fax - 612-626-0761. The majority of the homework is received this way and most instructors accept faxed copies. Make sure you write dark and legibly, and try to keep your work 3/4-1 inch from the edges. We will make sure it is readable and that all of the pages are included. We will contact you if there is a problem.

Mail - UNITE Distributed Learning, 206 Church Street SE, 514 Vincent Hall, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55455

If you are at one of the UNITE companies that has a site coordinator, you can also turn it into them and they will submit it to us.

Examinations and Quizzes

All examinations and quizzes must be taken at the schedule time and day as the on-campus students in the course as set by the course instructor. If you can not make this time, please contact your instructor BEFORE the exam date for permission to take at another time. If permission is granted, inform your proctor so they may reschedule. Failure to take the exam on the scheduled day and failure to get advanced permission from your instructor could result in receiving a zero for the exam or quiz.
