Streaming Video Demonstrations

Beginning fall semester 2008, UNITE streaming video is available in three different formats: 

  1. One-Pane
    A single 640x480 window that switches between multiple classroom image sources (cameras, computer, overhead, etc.).

  2. Two-Pane
    Two side-by-side video windows: a smaller window that always shows the classroom cameras, and a larger window that displays a higher-resolution feed from a secondary source (computer, overhead, etc.).

  3. Two-Pane Widescreen
    The same as the two-pane format above, except both the video and the secondary sources are presented in full size. This format requires a minimum monitor resolution of 1280x720 for optimal viewing.

Both the One-Pane and Two-Pane Widescreen formats are also available for download by UNITE-registered students; see the download and RSS demonstrations here. The One-Pane download format is also fully compatible with the iPod and PSP portable media players.

Suggested monitor resolutions:
One-Pane: 1024 x 768 or higher
Two-Pane: 1024 x 768 or higher
Two-Pane Widescreen: 1280 x 720 or higher
