How to Log In to UNITE Courses

NOTE: For immediate access to your UNITE video content, use the UNITE Video Portal with your University of Minnesota Internet ID (aka "x.500" account).

You may also access your UNITE materials through the University's "MyU" portal (myu.umn.edu ) under the "myCourses tab.

The MyU site is a "portal" web site - a single, personal online gateway to the University.  When you login to MyU, you are able to access the WebVista and Moodle sections for your courses, your University email account and other University services and information personalized for you. 

To login

1. If you are new to the University of Minnesota, UNITE will initiate your University ID creation and send it to you.  If you have a University ID from a past affiliation with the University (i.e., previous student enrollment, previous application to a program or college, etc.) and have forgotten it, please contact our office. 
   
   First time users will need to activate University Internet IDs and set the password.  Otherwise, skip to item number two on this list.
   
   You only need to activate this account once. 
   
   Activate your University Internet ID account by visiting the Student Account Initiation web site at https://umn.edu/initiate .
   
   
2. Navigate to the University's MyU portal web page at www.myu.umn.edu .
   
   
3. Log in. Type your University Internet ID and password in the correct fields.
   
   
4. Click OK.
   
   
5. Click the "myCourses" tab.
   
   
6. Many course in which you are enrolled which have University-supported online materials (such as WebVista, Moodle, iTunes and UNITE) will be listed.  Under each course listing, there will be links to those materials. 
   
   For example, you have enrolled in "CSci0000 Introduction to Stuff" and that course has both UNITE materials and a Moodle web site. After you log in to the myU portal, click on the myCourses tab and scroll to the "CSci0000 Introduction to Stuff" heading and you will see links for the UNITE materials and the Moodle course site listed separately under the heading. Click on the UNITE materials link to access the UNITE materials for that course.

Password Information

If you need your University Internet ID password reset, contact 1-Help at 612-301-4357 (on campus, dial 1-HELP).  For their call center hours and other information, navigate to their web page at http://www1.umn.edu/adcs/help/ .

Notice to Late Registrants:
Students who register late be advised that it can take up to 72 hours to be able to access the courses following your registration date.  This is outside UNITE's control.
